OPRacing 4th Generation Hub And Wheel Centric Slip On Wheel Spacer - SET OF 2 SPACERS

Our Spacers will work with all OEM and all brands of Aftermarket wheels, even wheels that do not have the appropriate OEM wheel mounting relief.
These spacers are designed to only fit vehicles with a 5 lug 4.5" (114.3 mm) bolt pattern and a 70.5 mm Hub Center Bore. These spacers are slip-On Design, and they will require longer high strength wheel studs in most cases.
Generally, they will fit any Ford Car with a similar bolt pattern, Most all Mustangs, and Current Ford Explorer.
All spacers are hub and wheel-centric, except for the 8 mm spacer, which is flat.
***Application Note: 2005-2022 Ford Mustangs with a spindle mounted front hub*** The hub/wheel mounting centering ring protrudes approximately 0.100" further than all the other hubs. Our 12 and 15 mm spacers will not work on the front of these cars. All Magnetic-Ride Mustangs, GT350/GT500's are not affected by this. We chose a stronger spacer over limiting fitment choices... but we have a solution.
***All our FRONT HUB KITS for the S197-S550 Mustangs (2005-2020) built after November 30, 2022 are machined to accept all of our spacers. The 8MM is a flat spacer so it will fit all cars regardless of hubs. OEM Dust Caps will not work with 8MM Spacers.***
March of 2021 + Mustangs and Mach 1 Mustangs utilize a different front hub that protrudes further and will not work with 12MM spacers. We have hubs for this application, which are machined to accept all spacers.
Our wheel spacers are manufactured in Florida, USA, in a family owned and operated facility, on a 9 Axis DMG Mori CNC Machining Center from US sourced Alcoa 6060-T6 Billet Aluminum to exacting tolerances. Due to the mass of the Machining Center, we are able to maintain strict tolerances that allow freedom of design while maintaining value for our Customers.
Our 4th Gen Wheel Spacers are anodized in Florida, USA after machining, in an ISO 9001 facility to MIL-A-8625 Type II Class 1 or 2 Specifications depending on finished color.
Our 4th Generation Wheel Spacer Design started life in Fusion 360, where it was drawn and then modeled in 3D. This allowed us to maximize spacer strength while minimizing mass of the finished part. These are the highest quality and most innovative spacers on the market. The outside diameter (OD) is designed to match the OD of the wheel hub so all load is transferred from the wheel, through the spacer, brake rotor hat and into the wheel hub as originally designed. Maintaining this OD dimension ensures that we are maintaining all load paths without artificially increasing the load.
We utilize a back cut on the hub/rotor hat side that serves a few of purposes:
It provides a space for hub / rotor irregularities (rust and corrosion) so the spacer seats as flat as possible and the entire assembly is able to clamp together evenly. This helps limit the effect of magnifying any run-out to the wheel that may be present in the hub or rotor assembly.
The highest clamp load is placed on the center line of the wheel stud pattern outward. When the wheel is torqued, the assembly is clamped together by the wheel studs and lug nuts. This sandwich effect is what causes the wheel studs to stretch as designed, maintaining the intended wheel torque through normal track use temperature extremes. Because we only clamp directly on the outer part of the spacer, we eliminate false torque readings closer usually found near the center of the hub.
The results of 1 and 2 above, provide a level of flex and allows the spacer to float inside the wheel stud bolt pattern which eliminates unintended stress during heat cycling. Working similar to a floating 2 piece rotor, where we have multiple materials, all of which have differing growth rates, so we allow the spacers 'room to grow'.
New Features of the 4th Gen Spacer:
All these spacers are modular, meaning that they can be stacked in any order or thickness, provided you have sufficient wheel stud length. We can also help with proper length studs. You can mix and match colors to help keep track of set-up changes when optimizing track width.
All the 4th generation spacers allow the use of the OEM Dust cap found on millions of Ford vehicles. If you use wheel spacers in the rear, you can utilize a dust cap in the spacer to cover the Axle Nut. This also prevents track pickup from making its way into the area of the hubs. It provides a nice, clean, finished appearance.
We have added relief cuts on the backslide of the spacer to allow access to remove a spacer that may be stuck. 5 openings are provided to allow a small pry tool (screwdriver, if we are being honest) to assist in the removal of a spacer that may be difficult to remove due to the steel wheel hub corroding.
For the first time, we now offer the spacers in 2 finishes. Clear (silver-gray appearance) and Black.
