GT350 - GT500 - Mag Ride Equipped Mustangs Prior to 3-2021
Due to the on-going issues with Ford availability for the OEM Supplied Front Hub mounting bolts spanning 2 years, we have sourced an ARP fastener that will work in place of the original until which time they become available.
We include a one time use Medium Strength Thread Locking Compound.
Installation Instructions:
Inspect the hub mounting face of the steering knuckle and the surface of the hub mounting flange. We have found the mounting ears of the hubs become damaged as supplied in the Ford Packaging.
Carefully inspect these surfaces and flatten any deformed surfaces with a hand file. This is critical because it determines how true the hub runs when installed. Remove any corrosion from the mounting surface of the knuckle surface that mates with the hub. Any debris left will compromise the torque values of the assembly.
Apply a small about of supplied thread compound to just the last 3/8" of the thread of each bolt for this is the only part of the bolt that engages inside the threads of the hub.
Install all 4 bolts loosely by hand and using a cross pattern hand tighten them evenly. Verify the hub seats flush all around the knuckle.
Using a torque wrench, tighten the 4 bolts in a cross pattern to 98lb/ft.
