CorteX Racing monoball kit for S550 front and rear lower control arms. We replace the soft rubber bushings at the front lower control arm caster link as well as the rear lower control arm forward mounting point for precision control and reduced hysteresis.
Both of these bushing locations showed drastic deflection during on-track driving resulting in loss of performance. These bushings are essential for any dedicated track car and the best part NVH increase is minimal so we use them on our street cars as well!
We offer these as a complete kit with Front and Rear Pairs as well as Front or Rear Pairs in the options below. We will be offering Front Monoballs Pressed into OEM Ford Control Arms as well..
In our experience with this chassis we feel that removing the rubber from these two locations drastically improves the driving dynamics. We always recommend these as one of the first improvements to allow the chassis to work properly. As you make other changes to the vehicle such as track specific tires the factory rubber is quickly overwhelmed. In stock form the deflection rates are extremely high which causes large alignment changes as you transition from the braking zone to power down on corner exit. These will make a noticeable improvement on a stock Mustang all the way to a fully built track car.
