2005-2018 Mustang 2.5 Coil Over Conversion Kit Made in the USA, When installing Coil Over struts on your 2005-2018 Mustang that has Caster Camber Plates requires this all new Part # 24240 Coil Over Conversion Adapter Kit from J&M Products/hotpart.com. The upper spring perch supplied in aftermarket Coil Over kits will not properly mate to the profile of the bottom of any aftermarket caster camber plate.
This conversion kit provides a new spring perch and all the related items to allow proper installation of any coil-over kit to any manufacturer’s caster camber plates that utilize the stock spring seat. Additionally the machined billet aluminum adapter has more material spanning the surface area of the spring to better distribute the vehicle weight over the suspension.
The benefits of this design are quite apparent from an engineering perspective, in that the weight of the car is not supported by the singular spherical bearing in the camber plate,but rather distributed across the surface area of the spring seat with the ball bearing assembly under the caster camber plates, the same as the major manufacturers design their load bearing suspension components. Â Spherical bearings are not designed to take axial (up and down) loading.
