Cam Motion Dyno Tested SBC Custom Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
This is the actual Custom Camshaft Cam Motion Ground for us to our events. This camshaft placed 6th overall in the N/A portion of the SBC Camshaft Competition.
This cam was installed with 1.8 Intake, 1.7 Exhaust ratio rocker arms but we provided a lift chart for all the common SBC ratios.
This cam was designed to work well N/A or with a Centrifugal Supercharger. Unfortunately we were unable to test with the supercharger.
The Dyno Test engine was a 421 CID Summit Block, 11.44:1 Compression, with CNC ported Brodix Dragon Slayer 255 60/40 Cylinder Heads. It was tested with a ported Holley Hi-Ram with Holley EFI controls.
The engine with this camshaft made 684.3 HP@6500 and 610.1 lb/ft@5500. It carried to 6800 still making 680.3 HP so shift recovery with 7000-7200 rpm shift point would work very well.
It produced over 600 lb/ft of torque from 4500rpm to 5800rpm. This engine produced over 500 lb/ft by 3900rpm.
This was the third smallest camshaft in the competition, using Cam Motions proven XA Lobe profiles, so you know it will not beat up parts and can be run easily on the street or in a Drag and Drive Vehicle.
This cam was installed and run in the engine for 3 dyno pulls. It is essentially brand new. It would be ideal for 383+ CID engines with a good induction package.
